Life is a garden, dig it.

This past Sunday was a blast, I was able to get in some ride time with Gabe and Andrew. The sun was shining until almost 8, it was a great day full of beer, bikes, and backwards circles. It was a lot of fun, especially Atilano's with all of the lovely police officers (they were eating not causing us problems this time). It just made me even more stoked about the upcoming F.B.C. Fiasco Prom ride. It's always great to ride your bike with a couple friends, and it's always greater when you're riding bikes with hundreds of your friends. So if you like bikes, ride bikes, and/or enjoy drinking, then come out for a good time. The dancing was pretty intense at the last fiasco, and THAT WASN'T EVEN A PROM!!!!

This week has been alright so far. I got new lights for my bike, a new bike computer(which has sadly already been broken, but it was cheap and a damn good investment, the craftsmanship may be sketchy, but I intend to get another), a new 13T cog, new friends, and some new insights. On the other side of things, my mother was recently admitted for an intestinal infection. She will be in the hospital for the next couple of days doing nothing but having antibiotics pumped into her. She is a tough cat. I have no doubt that she will have zero problems conquering this. Also, I got to play in the dirt yesterday at Gabe's. I haven't done much gardening throughout the years so it felt good to help out and plant something. It was a lot of fun, and then I got to take Gabe's bike a part just a bit, always awesome. I love bicycle mechanics. Here's Gabe planting some stuff.

Today is gorgeous it's in the low 60's and sunny and hardly a cloud in the sky, all that and no wind, it's incredible. I'm definitely getting some dollar beers today. See you at Mootsy's.

Not to much to talk about....

Nothing this week has really been exciting. I did get another pair of *gently used* Nike Tiempos, for even cheaper than the other pair! Thanks again Value Village! So besides that, this week has been pretty bleh. Snow, hail, copious amounts of rain, 20+mph winds, all have plauged my riding. So that saddens me. However, i have been looking for a soft shell to help me feel less like a baby when it comes to riding in the adverse weather conditions, have a few leads but nothing really solid, since they seem to be pretty expensive, oh well, my search shall continue, unfortunately my Value Village God hasn't presented any opportunity's, maybe just for Nike's. I also have a job interview today, so that's pretty exciting, it's at another call center so that kinda bums me out. Hopefully I get it though, I really could use the money. Also, i hope that I get a call from Jimmy John's for bicycle delivery, that would be incredible...but we'll see, my phone got disconnected at a really inconvenient time, yet again, so we'll see what I can make work. It has already rained and snowed here, but hopefully I will be able to get a ride in at some point...

Been a couple of days...

Well, unfortunately I have an awful memory, so I have been forgetting to keep up on here. Oh well, anyways let's see, let's see...

WEDNESDAY: It was a good day, my girlfriend and I went to Gabe's, and then we went on a nice bike ride to Polly Judd Park, where we hung out in "the wasteland", saw a train, and we saw a grip of little marmots everywhere. Then Bekka and I went home and fell asleep on the couch.

THURSDAY: Thursday...was decent. I was able to get a quick ride downtown in before having to go out to Deer Park. It started to snow on my way home, which was lame. Then, as soon as I got home, it stopped, double lame. All I could think about during my ride was how much I dearly miss my riding gloves. They didn't seem like much, but boy did I take em for granted because my hands were achy and cold...I cannot for the life of me find them...sad. Also Thursday evening, I was out working at my parents ranch in Deer Park, and then it started to dump snow, almost an entire inch stuck out there, it was crazy. Also I was driving home from my friend T.J.'s and the fog was so think I could hardly see in front of me, to the point where I was driving 35mph. Scary stuff, a lot of deer out there. Oh and I had to sleep out in my parent's R.V. I haven't done that in almost ten years. Here's the couch bed.

FRIDAY: Friday was *GORGEOUS*. The sun was shining, the wind was gone, nothing but a few clouds in the sky, it was amazing. Unfortunately for me, I spent most of the day working. Not too bad since I made some money, but damn was i thinking about my bike all day. I did get to ride when I got home though. It was still really nice to get out before the sun went down. I went and hung out with Gabe for a while. Then I went to the Satellite, a.k.a. my second home, and spent some time with some other good friends. My friend Danny, poured a bunch of ketchup in my redbull, so I wound up with a "purple" Irish Trashcan...not so tasty at all actually. That's about it for Friday.

SATURDAY: Another gorgeous day. Bekka and I hung out on the back steps, it was soooo warm. I got in a bit more riding later in the day, and I was able to get my bag fixed. YAY! I hate riding with backpacks. I went to kick it with Gabe again, we got in a little riding. On a side note, my friend is being slapped with an eviction notice from the city of Spokane. That is fucked. All Gabe has ever done is try to make this world a little brighter with his art and compassion, and this is how he is repaid? Yeah, it totally makes sense to remove a homeless person from their shelter, especially when he isn't a bother to anything but a stupid law. How fucking shitty. Maybe I am biased, since Gabe is my good friend, but I know that I am not the only one that Gabe has had an positive impact on. It sucks, it shouldn't be like that, but unfortunately we still just have to stand back and watch people tell us what to do because if we don't, we get punished. Gabe has a lot of people that care about him, and one way or the other he will be taken care of, and he's a got a good(mildly concussed) head on his shoulders. Ok, I just had to rant a bit about that. I watched "Easy Rider" last night. It was a decent film, a bit dark, with a total mind-fuck ending, rad! Then, Bekka and I went to another friends for a birthday party, it was pretty awesome. We were obviously behind everyone else. Dusty was out of control, he's a handsy kind of drunk. Rough housing resulted in Dusty's face smashing into the hardwood. He seemed alright, I'm sure his head was hurting though. Here's some pictures.

SUNDAY: It has been so far so good. Easter brunch was tasty, and we have been bumming it since, with a bucket of assorted candy. Yum.

My friend Gabe...

This is relatively old in interweb terms, but here is an interview with my friend Gabe.

Value Village...you are amazing...

So yesterday was another awesome day, before going to look at the house, we went to Value Village to poke around. The original mission was to shop for Bekka to find some "80's style" clothing for her ladies night. Well, needless to say she found an outfit, and we also found other gems, much like everyone seems to at thrift stores. I was able to find some new kicks, which are some really nice, gently used Nike Tiempo's. Only $10! What a steal.

That's not all though. I have been bitching for months about not having a bigger bag. My tiny single strap backpack, was just not cutting it. I could barely carry anything aside from my tools, etc., etc. I'm cheap, and I was not yet ready or able to pony up the dough to get a nice bag, thankfully Value Village came through for me again, on the same day. I found this guy for only $7 and it was practically brand new too.

Then, I also bought some giant camo shorts and a huge bright orange shirt to "redneck-ify" the bag, and make it a bit more my style. DIY is the way to go. Thanks to my girlfriend and her mom, I now have an awesome custom bag, that matches my whip. Now I have a bag that can actually function properly. Stoked to get out and ride with it. Oh and Happy 420.

Snow in April?

Well, I almost forgot that I had this thing... I need to get into a habit of doing this on the daily or so I feel like I should. Let's see... Well Sunday was an amazing night to say the least. It was The Fucking Bike Club's monthly full moon ride, also known as "Full Moon Fiasco 45." It was a blast. All good friends were in attendance(even my beautiful bicycle babe), the ride was a good length (minus the awful Post street hill), dance parties were had(Gabe really knows how to cut a rug too I might add) , drinks were drank, and good times were had by all, and to cap it off some of us went to the satellite for some drunkin nourishment and good conversation, like I said, all in all a damn good night. If only I could remember to take pictures. Monday in comparison, sucked. It snowed...in April... which i suppose is not uncommon, because let's face it, Spokane is home of the strange weather in any season. Well gotta go look at a house for a possible future move, hopefully it's a winner...although the thought of having roommates is less than desirable, but hey it's always about the financial aspect.
